Welcome to handmedown distribution
This is a DIY, non-for profit distro; we want to contribute to more accessible, shared information and knowledge. We hope to make available material that is not already easily reachable and which focuses mainly on feminist health, politics, sex and sexuality. The books and zines we are distributing do not encompass everything that we think is important: there are other groups already doing this (see contact list).
The books and zines we are distributing have all at some point in our lives rocked our world. Some of the books have provided us with great information, others have challenged our ideas and all have truly inspired us. They have contributed to our ongoing political thoughts and have helped us to analyse ideas about our bodies, sexuality, class, race, capitalism and much, much, more.
We are constantly on the look out for new things. Any ideas, suggestions, recommendations, if you would like to be kept informed of new publications and/or would like us to distribute your work, please e-mail us.
We have split the reviews into 6 different categories to make reading through them easier: Health, Sex and Sexuality, History and Politics, Self-defence, Parenting and Personal. But obviously most of them overlap and all are political.
